Factorio System Requirements

Factorio is generally well-optimized. If your PC meets the minimum requirements (Dual core 3GHz+, Direct3D 11 capable video card with 2 GB VRAM, 4 GB RAM), you should be able to run the game, especially with smaller factories. Larger factories may require lower graphics settings or upgrading your hardware.

At a minimum, you'll need a Direct3D 11 capable video card with 2 GB of VRAM. For a smoother experience, especially with larger factories, a card with 4 GB of VRAM is recommended.

Factorio requires a minimum of 4 GB of RAM. However, for larger factories and smoother performance, 8 GB of RAM is recommended.

While technically possible if your integrated graphics meet the Direct3D 11 and VRAM requirements, performance may be limited, especially with larger factories. You may need to significantly reduce graphics settings and expect lower frame rates.

The 'best' settings depend on your hardware. Start with medium settings and gradually increase them until you find a balance between visual quality and performance. Lowering the resolution, disabling shadows, and reducing particle effects can significantly improve performance.
