SimRail - The Railway Simulator System Requirements

While the minimum requirements allow you to launch and play the game, a smoother experience with higher settings requires a PC closer to the recommended specifications. If your PC is below the minimum, you may experience low frame rates and graphical glitches.

At a minimum, you'll need an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon RX 580. For a better experience with higher settings and resolutions, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 or AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT is recommended.

SimRail requires at least 8 GB of RAM to run. However, 16 GB of RAM is recommended for smoother gameplay, especially with higher graphical settings and longer simulation sessions.

Running SimRail on integrated graphics is not officially supported. While it might launch, performance will likely be very poor and the game may be unplayable due to the demanding nature of the simulation.

The 'best' settings depend on your hardware. If you meet the recommended specs, you can likely run on high or ultra settings. If you meet the minimum, start with low or medium settings and gradually increase them until you find a balance between visual quality and performance. Pay close attention to settings like draw distance and shadow quality, as they significantly impact performance.
